Shipping

Before you check out, you'll see the cost of shipping in your cart. Your Dandy DT-01 or Dandy DT-01XL is typically shipped via USPS by default, though you can choose from other options before you complete your purchase. The fee for shipping is dependent on your distance from our shipping location(s).

Technical

The Dandy DT-01 will support yards of up to 1/4 acre (10,890 sq. ft) and the Dandy DT-01XL  will do 1 acre (43,560 sq ft.), using a larger battery and herbicide tank.

For businesses that service larger areas, the Dandy DTC-101 Commercial Lawn Care robot will be available in 2023.

As the Dandy DT-01 lawn care robot detects a weed 90+% of the time it passes over it, you should expect it to eliminate nearly every weed in just 2 or 3 sessions, spaced about one week apart. The robot includes a 0.5L reservoir for herbicide and will treat up to 1000 weeds before requiring a refill. The DT-01XL has a 1.2L reservoir and will treat up to 2700 weeds. Please note that a weed may be sprayed more than once a session, though our proprietary AI keeps a "heat map" of weeds that shows where the robot has been so this is minimized.

No, not when used properly. Because you can customize the herbicide that is used, you are in total control of how the Dandy DT-01 does its job. You can use a completely organic method like FeHETDA or go with a commercially-available selective weed killer--it's up to you.

Over time, it should. Because the Dandy DT-01 features intelligent path navigation, it should cover your entire yard and its rate of weed detection means that every weed should be eliminated in just a few runs. This, combined with the ability to use whatever herbicide you want, will eventually result in a virtually weed-free lawn.

All you need to do is run the robot every couple of weeks and you'll enjoy a weed-free yard.

The Dandy Lawn Care robot is designed to work with selective herbicides that kill broadleaf plants and bypass your grass.

The following is a list of the selective herbicides that should work with the robot:

Selective Organic Herbicides

  • Natural Guard
  • Sunday Dandelion Doom

Selective Non-organic Herbicides

  • BioAdvanced Lawn Weed and Crabgrass Killer
  • Ortho Weed-B-Gon Lawn Weed Killer (some reviews mention killing grass, as well)
  • Ortho Weed-B-Gon Chickweed, Clover & Oxalis Killer
  • Quinclorac 75 DF
  • Southern Ag 2,4-D Anime Weed Killer
  • Spectracide Weed Stop for Lawns

Please be sure to treat your lawn with only selective herbicide so you eliminate only the weeds. The Dandy Lawn Care robot will accept any liquid, including the broad spectrum herbicides that need to be avoided because they kill all plants.
