Today, we introduced our two new robots, the Dandy DT-01 and DT-01 XL. These lawn care robots are designed to make weeding your lawn a simple task, freeing you from having to do it, all while reducing the impact on the environment. With up to 90% less use of chemistry and the ability to choose the best herbicide, the Dandy series of weeding robots are a great choice.
To use the Dandy robot, you will need an app on your smartphone. You can select either an iOS or Android based app, downloaded from either Apple or Google. After downloading it, you'll first set up a geofence representing your yard. Next, you will set up the go/no-go zones and, optionally, bridges between them that the robot can use to travel between them.
Next, you select an herbicide to use. All Dandy robots include a refillable tank so you can choose the best herbicide for your area. We publish a list of herbicide that we have tested at our labs (you can find it here). You can choose a non-organic weed killer, or you can use an organic herbicide for a completely natural solution. The choice is yours.
Finally, you plug in and charge the robot. When you are charging the robot for the first time, you'll want to allocate about 6 hours to ensure that the battery pack is completely full. Once the robot has charged, you are ready to go!
